You might have noticed that the site is loads quickly. Everyone likes a fast site. We are not using a CDN, we are using dozens of plugins and ordinary hosting from SiteGround. Perfmatters is an integral part of turning of unnecessary functions, scripts and css that WordPress
We like fast, you like fast, Google likes fast!
Perfmatters is an excellent plugin. It is very cleanly coded and lightweight at under 50kb, and no JavaScript on the frontend. It has an easy to use dashboard with one-click toggles.
Perfmatters Settings
As you can see below, everything is a one-click toggle. There is also a handy tooltip next to each one that links to our knowledgebase article on the optimization. This way you can learn more about what it does and why you might want disable it or leave it enabled.
Scripts Manager
The perfmatters plugin has a Scripts Manager built in allowing you to disable scripts on a per post/page basis. This can drastically increase the speed of your WordPress sites (especially your homepage). Many plugins like the popular Contact Form 7 plugin, for example, loads itself on every page and post. You can easily disable it everywhere with one click and enable it only on your contact page or any particular page that uses it.
All scripts are organized by their respective plugin and theme making it easy to see which scripts are being used by what.
Extras
DNS Prefetching is available under the perfmatter’s extras tab, along with the ability to enable accessibility mode. Accessibility mode ensures that our plugin dashboard fully works with screen readers, as we are happy to accommodate everyone.
